Practice Area
Eric Contre joined the firm as a an associate in the litigation department
in June 2010 after close to three years at the Washington, D.C. office of Sidley Austin LLP, a global business law
firm.
Work for Clients
At Sidley Austin, Eric worked on a wide array of business litigation, from multi-faceted
pharmaceutical cases to breach of contract matters for large, privately
owned businesses.
Prior to Sidley Austin, Eric served as a law clerk to Judge Dolores K.
Sloviter of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, Judge Peter C. Dorsey of the U.S.
District Court for the District of Connecticut, and Justice William J. Sullivan of the
Connecticut Supreme Court.
Education
He is a summa cum laude graduate of Quinnipiac University School of Law
and a summa cum laude graduate of Roger Williams University, where he
double majored in legal studies and philosophy.
Bar Admissions
Eric is currently admitted to practice law in Connecticut, New York and
the District of Columbia. Eric recently sat for the Rhode Island Bar
exam and is practicing law in Rhode Island under the supervision of
principals of the firm who are members in good standing of the Rhode
Island Bar.
