ATTORNEYS - Kurt T. Kalberer II

Practice Areas

Kurt Kalberer is an attorney in the firm’s litigation group. He concentrates his practice on complex business litigation, including intellectual property, shareholder, employment, real estate, and construction litigation.

Work for Clients
Kurt assists clients in all facets of commercial litigation. He was formerly a litigator with one of Florida’s largest law firms, where he represented national real estate development, construction, and hospitality companies, including NASDAQ listed Fortune 500 companies. He has litigated complex trademark, fraudulent lien, business tort, professional negligence, and breach of contract matters.

Professional Activities
Kurt is an active member of US Sailing, the national governing body for the sport of sailing, and provides legal counsel to the organization on various matters. He was recently elected to the board of directors for the Community Boating Center, the local non-profit community sailing association located in India Point Park in Providence.

While in law school, Kurt served as an Articles Editor for the University of Miami Business Law Review. He is a member of the American Bar Association, Rhode Island Bar Association, Florida Bar Association, and Massachusetts Bar Association.

Education
Kurt received a Bachelor of Science degree from Providence College, cum laude, in 2003, where he was awarded membership to Tao Pi Phi, the National Honor Society for accounting, business administration, and economics.

He received his law degree from the University of Miami School of Law in 2006. While in law school, Kurt received CALI Excellence for the Future Awards in several subject areas.

Bar and Court Admissions
Kurt is admitted to practice law in Rhode Island (2008), Massachusetts (2008), and Florida (2007).
