Work for Clients
Mr. Schmidt represents, as outside general counsel, public and private companies involved in diverse businesses, including software, hardware, e-commerce, information technology, professional services, financial services, publishing, and manufacturing. He counsels clients on matters of corporate governance, international subsidiaries, employment law and employee relations as well as the related regulatory compliance issues. He has developed a special focus on data protection and privacy issues which span technology and business at every level.
Professional Experience
Mr. Schmidt joined Duffy Sweeney & Scott in 2005 after an eleven-year legal career at several public and private technology companies, most recently eCredit.com, Inc., where he served as Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary.
