Stephanie Friedel Promoted to Senior Associate

We are pleased to announce the promotion of Stephanie Friedel to the position of Senior Associate, effective January 1, 2024.

With more than eight years of experience, Stephanie represents a wide range of clients from global businesses to shareholders and individuals through every stage of litigation from discovery to trial.

Stephanie’s practice includes the following significant victories for D&S clients:

  • Vindicating the rights of co-owners that have been frozen out of their businesses by their business partners, including successfully negotiating and executing buyout agreements.
  • Representing two well-known and highly respected Rhode Island companies in a dispute over a shareholder agreement with issues surrounding a business valuation expert. The matter was won at the summary judgment phase, resulting in the dismissal of claims for over one-million dollars brought against the clients.
  • Defeating a claim made against a multi-million dollar estate by a creditor resulting in half a million dollars remaining in the estate for its intended beneficiaries.

Stephanie was recognized by Super Lawyers as a Rising Star in 2023. She was also included in “Ones to Watch” by Best Lawyers for 2024 in the practice areas of Commercial Litigation and Litigation-Trusts and Estates.

A resident of South Kingstown, Stephanie serves on the Board of Directors for the Providence Children’s Museum and is an active member of the Rhode Island Women’s Bar Association and the Rhode Island Bar Association.

Reach out to congratulate Stephanie here.
